Roll Ball is a popular sport that originated in the Asian region. It's a unique combination of Basketball, Handball, Throwball and roller sports, creating an exciting and dynamic game that requires exceptional skill and teamwork.
Two teams compete against each other in this fast-paced sport. Roll Ball can be played indoors as well as outdoors on hard surfaces such as wooden or asphalt courts.
The sport has grown tremendously in popularity and is now played in more than 40 countries worldwide. The Roll Ball World Cup, held biennially, is the highest official competition for the sport.
The prime aim of the teams is to score maximum points than the opponent. Players can score points by striking the ball effectively in the opponent's goalpost with fair skills and fast speed. The primary concern during the match is to continuously bounce the ball on the ground, even during a pass.
Speed is a vital component of this sport, as it enables players to create scoring opportunities and chase down opponents.
Kenya proudly hosted the Junior Roll Ball World Cup from June 22-29, 2025, in Nairobi. This prestigious international tournament brought together the world's best young Roll Ball players to compete at the highest level.
